So far, it’s looking good! :) When it comes to lighting, I recommend always keeping your main light source in mind, because doing so helps you avoid painting light shapes randomly. So, assuming the primary light source is coming from the front, that would mean the entire back side of the character should be in shadow. In that case, you could also add some bluish ambient light to planes or objects that are exposed to environmental light (your blue background). This creates much more consistent lighting overall. Now, regarding the background... I’m not entirely sure where the wing is coming from hehe, but I do like that it helps the character’s silhouette stand out :) Because of that, you could paint it in a darker value so that the light can hit the right arm more effectively, creating stronger contrast. So remember: Think about where your light source is positioned, and based on that, visualize forms like cylinders or spheres to better paint your light and shadow shapes.
