Yo! Great illustration so far! I’ll focus mainly on lighting and color. First of all, you have two light sources: the main one, the moon, and a secondary one coming from the artifact (which is actually the stronger or more important one). Even though it’s a strong light, it wouldn’t illuminate the entire body the way you’ve painted it, only the upper areas that are closer to it. Also, keep in mind the color of that light. If it’s purple, everything around it will be affected by that color. That means the character’s clothing and skin shouldn’t stay white or gray, they should shift toward purples, violets, or bluish tones. Since there’s no light coming from the opposite side, adding a rim light on the neck as you did doesn’t really make sense. You can add a rim light if you justify it (for example, from another light source in the environment), but in this case, the light from the arm could be enough to subtly light the lower silhouette. I would remove the moon from the composition and instead just suggest its light. As for the background: to avoid having a flat, dark backdrop with no depth or atmospheric perspective, you could add a subtle glow to simulate city lights. This helps create depth and separation, and you can also use it to prevent the darker parts of the hair from blending into the background. Hope this helps!
