Transcript because spelling isn't my strong suit: A guitar is easier to draw when the base is held further away from the body (look up references and most are being held that way) From one shoulder to the other each arm makes up around 1/5 of the length the exact numbers change with body type but it's easier to think of when it's broken down into 5 pieces For your drawing the main anatomy problem to tackle is the width of the torso, this probably came about from trying to make the guitar sit in the arm pit but it doesn't really work from this perspective. For small fixes on the actual drawing I made the head bigger to make the torso look less blocky and made the arms bigger. The hands also could be made bigger as if you compare your hand to your face it's around the length of from your chin to your eyebrows. As for shading the most important part is finding the light source currently you've done a bit to indicate that something is rounded/flat. But it would help a lot to add a bit more. Ofc this is a pencil drawing so it's a bit harder to show. Explanation of shadows: Basic premise is to think about everything like a wall the light hits the wall this casts a hard shadow on everything behind it. So for example under the arm casts a hard shadow onto the guitar. Then there's the soft shadows that give things more depth and show basically how something is further from the light makes it look more 3D Sorry for the word vomit hopefully this makes sense | Artwod Feedback
