You've done a really good job with the rendering, especially with the hair! I think the drawing feels a bit flat because there aren't any cast shadows. In the paintover, I've added a few cast shadows to showcase the point. In your image, there is also a slight difference in the direction of the light, most noticeable in the bottom-right piece of lit-up hair (light coming almost straight from the "camera" vs the top-left (light coming from the top left).

Late post, fell asleep after got back from vacation. I drew these three from references to sharpen my visual library. Probably as much as i needed before hopping into drawing from imagination. To me, there's a lot room for improvements, because these drawing still not great. If you have any advices, truly i'd be grateful to hear it. Ignore the top left, its from yesterday :)
