Hey there! You already have a solid foundation, but yes, the shadows are definitely off. There isn’t a clear light direction right now. You need to study the planes of the face, either in a simplified way like the Loomis head, or something more complex like the Asaro head (the image I attached). Try thinking of the head as a box when lighting it. Doing this helps you better understand which planes are exposed to the light and which areas should remain in shadow. Also, always keep the direction of the light in mind so you avoid lighting the face from every direction at once. Notice how the side plane of the head remains in shadow, and how the nose blocks part of the light — that’s why you can see that light shape appearing on the left cheek.
