Hello there! Great job so far! I really like your character design, but the lighting feels a bit inconsistent. You currently have two light sources competing with each other—the ambient light (which seems to come from behind?) and the flame. It would be much more interesting if the flame were the main light source, as it would create stronger contrast and add more focus to the character. To achieve this, you should darken the face and, in general, the areas you’ve lit—like the tail and parts of the jacket. Also, try to define the pants a bit more; even if they’re in shadow, it’s good to suggest some folds. Once you do that, you can push the flame’s light more in the areas closest to it—especially the face, since it’s usually the main focal point. You can also extend some of that light onto the jacket on the opposite arm. Also, try leaning more toward orange hues rather than red for the flame light. Hope this helps! | Artwod Feedback
