Yo! I like the portrait! What I’d suggest is spending a bit more time pushing the painting, mainly defining the shadows, since it feels a bit flat right now. The shadow cast by the cap isn’t very defined yet, and the same goes for the shadows on the cheek, under the nose, and on the neck. Define a clear light source and paint based on that. Use a solid brush with full opacity and, on a separate layer, block in your shadow shapes (shadow mapping). Separating light from shadow is a great foundation; you can then move into midtones (adding subtle hue shifts and refining volumes, especially around the eyes) or start adding highlights and further defining the forms. It’s really not a huge amount of work, this could take around 10–15 minutes hehe (though take your time and enjoy the painting process). Also, something I always recommend: avoid painting on a pure white background. Use more neutral values so you can have better control over your value relationships. Hope this helps!
