Hello there! Exaggerating proportions isn’t something that comes very naturally to me, so I tried to keep the intention of drawing bigger eyes while maintaining slightly more believable proportions. Overall, the face feels a bit disproportionate and somewhat flat due to a lack of clarity in the head structure. For example, the eyebrows are tilted and don’t follow the rounded form of the head. The nose doesn’t have a clearly defined structure, and the mouth isn’t aligned with the center line of the head, which makes the proportions feel a bit off. Remember to use the Loomis Method to build the base of your portrait, and more importantly, maintain proper perspective even if your goal is to exaggerate proportions. Make sure the eyebrows follow the curvature of the head, and that the nose and mouth are aligned with the center line. Leave some space on the side between the eyebrow and the ear, and keep in mind that the neck connects around the level of the ears, not from below the jaw. Since the main focus was on the eyes, make sure their shapes are clearly defined and that they have proper volume. Typically, the upper eyelid line is drawn thicker than the lower one due to the shadow cast from above. Try to better indicate the eyelids and the under-eye area as well. Hope this helps, and keep practicing! | Artwod Feedback
