Illustration feedback
Hi everyone! I hope you're doing well. I had a really hard time with this piece. I'm much more experienced with character art, so I challenged myself to create a full illustration. I have to admit that building a scene and making everything work together was much harder than I expected. I think the hardest part for me was rendering the environment, especially the lighting. Deciding what to leave out, what to treat as a lost edge, and where to add more detail. It all sounds simple in theory, but in practice it was much more challenging hahaha. If you have any feedback or critique, I'd really appreciate it. It would help me improve a lot. Thank you so much!

Can I do my sketches look more professional?

Is everything OK with anatomy in my sketch?

I don't know how to add details to backgrounds with ink alone. Any suggestions on how to make them more detailed but not too busy?

What are your initial thoughts when seeing this drawing. (It is a rough drawing hency the sketchy lines and somewhat messy coloring) I want advice on how to improve composition and lighting, couldn't find the category for that so i chose rendering. I tried expanding on what the ref provided, by adding a blue core shadow on the car, and a red background, as well as exagerrating the local color of the car. But how can I improve the composition and lighting to make this piece more interesting?

I want to know if the value is ok or not, and which part I should improve more. I just feel that this illus is somehow needs more things to be added. Thanks a lot!

Don't know if it is valid to share the process of artwork instead of a completed art piece. Really sorry if not. Originally made for the mermaid challenge, i tried to use the opportunity to sharpen my design skills, got some feedback, improved in design , but ended up finding a major gap in my knowledge or form and structure
Adding this one here just in case rough construction distracted from main issue or made it harder to critique. Also , any other advise which would make my characters look less scary would be very appreciated. Anything general about construction or forms would also help.

Currently, i am struggling with drawing the facial features and expressions correctly. Specifically, I can't draw the "Shapes" of the facial features under perspective distortions ( Specially eyes and mouth). I mostly knows where to place the feature, i understand the facial mannequin enough for that, but when it comes to drawing the feature itself (For instance eyes) , i just don't knows how to draw that complex shape at that angle . Pardon the painting skills, i am new to it , so that's something that doesn't bothers me the most
