I’d say the simplest way to fix this is by making sure your shapes are clearly defined. Right now, the hand gets completely lost against the clothing. Try using simple shapes first; this will help you draw overlaps more efficiently. Of course, the closer something is to the camera, the larger it appears, and the farther away it is, the smaller it becomes. On the other hand, line quality also plays a big role in creating a good sense of overlap. Draw thicker lines for objects that sit in front, and thinner lines for objects that are behind.
