Hey there! This looks so cool so far! :D Well, regarding the textures, I’d focus mainly on the face since that’s the primary focal point. Because of that, it makes sense to place the highest level of detail there — of course, without overloading it with textures to the point where it feels too busy. But before anything else, I would reduce the brightness on the face. Right now it’s almost pure white, which doesn’t leave much room to keep rendering or adding more subtle detail. Notice that I kept the same general color tone, but lowered the brightness and increased the saturation slightly. You could also define the nose and mouth more clearly. Now, I’m not sure what kind of texture ideas or references you have in mind, but one thing that came to mind was creating more color contrast on the face (besides the contrast already created by the hair). For example, you could paint some orange scales around the cheeks and certain areas of the nose. You could also add a few cyan-aqua scales while keeping the lilac tones mainly around the eyelids. That way, you create a much clearer and more interesting color hierarchy across the face. On top of that, you could define the hair shapes a bit more and maybe add more detail to the hand as well, since the hand feels like the secondary focal point of the illustration. Because of that, it would be good to define it more and maybe add a bit of texture there, too. You could also add a bit more shine to the chains. The rest of the image can stay a little rough since those areas aren’t as important, and it allows the viewer’s eye to mentally “finish” the rest of the painting. Hope this helps! | Artwod Feedback
