Hey! Really great work so far! The main issue I see is that the lighting temperature and color don’t fully sell the idea that the character is actually underwater. Right now, the mermaid still has a lot of reddish, pink, and natural skin tones, which don’t completely match the underwater environment or the color palette of the ocean. What I would do is push the bluish/cyan tones more, since the filtered underwater light should tint the character with those colors. Of course, without completely removing the reddish tones, otherwise the character could end up looking too pale, but making the lights feel more cyan overall. That warm shadows vs. cool light contrast would help the underwater atmosphere feel much more convincing. Hope this helps!
