Hey! Very nice! There’s definitely improvement in this illustration compared to the previous one of your character. You could push the piece even further by emphasizing the shadows more. Doing this would also help strengthen the narrative of the illustration. Since the light is coming from above, ideally, it should only affect the areas directly exposed to it, while the rest remains in shadow. This will create much stronger contrast and, like I mentioned, reinforce the storytelling of the scene. t will also help give your characters much more volume. What I’d suggest is the same approach as before: Use a Multiply layer to establish and define the shadows first, then continue painting on another layer to refine the transitions and details.
