Hello there! Great illustration so far! You could use a Multiply layer to paint the shadows, using a slightly desaturated green for the skin, a somewhat desaturated brown for the hair, and the same idea for the yellow tones. You can keep experimenting and adjusting the value balance (how dark or light the colors are) as you paint the shadows. On top of that, you could use a light yellow or light blue on a Soft Light layer to help emphasize the illuminated areas a bit more. Just avoid lighting everything evenly — focus only on the areas directly exposed to the light source. Hope this helps!
