First thanks for the art tips you provide !
I think I have seen a lot of melee fighters amongst the mermaids so what about going ranged ? We could change the weapons from double swords to bow and harpoon ?
Maybe with a massive harpoon and a compound bow ? | Artwod Feedback
Hello, i like the designa lot!
I just wanted to say that there are some seahorses that are biolumiscent. I think thag would be a cool concept to add when you render the drawing. Maybe its in the dark and it shines or something.
I cant find anything else i can be of help. Good luck with the drawing!
This is a really cool concept. I think something that could be a great addition is the with the horizontal ridges on a sea horses body. Could that be turned in some Armour incorporating the spikes? Maybe how the samurai have shoulder sode Armour. (Kinda like plates)
Blurring the line between human and creature with a more seamless transformation could breathe life into the design, moving it beyond the look of a costume. Right now, the concept feels a bit unclear. The character’s undersea warrior identity stands out, and her headwear is truly striking. You might try refining it to be even more graceful and distinctive. The sword pose feels a bit stiff; perhaps reimagining her as an archer would highlight her warrior spirit, if that fits your creative direction.
here i add some roman armor, a cape and a trident. when i look at the sketch i have an idea to make him like a general for poseidon army. i also add some spikes to make the mermaid aggresive or a warrior.. hope this give you some idea and creativity
This feels illegal.... To crtique the man himself.
This feed back is quite nit picky and specific, Personally I wouldn't add anything on top because the idea is communicated well, I Get a sense of sea like connotations especially with the sharp splindly shapes found in bascially all things dangerous in the sea. I would change the midrift area because I notice parallel lines which represent structure and rigidity rather than something Organic, I think my changes improve the overall silhoutte. I always try to avoid parrallel lines and 50/50 shapes unless I do it intentionally, But as humans we tend to recreate patterns without noticing.

Hey Antonio, first off, I love the concept. This is awesome. The gesture is really strong, and the pose has a ton of character. I think you could punch up the warrior vibe even more by incorporating a cultural touchstone similar to a Roman legionnaire-style crest or headdress gesture into the helm design.
I also felt like the seahorse anatomy could be pushed a bit further. The added curve in the spines helps reinforce that, and I think you could increase the contrast in the pose by folding the torso more on the right side. I also shifted the tail forward a bit, since seahorses naturally curl and loop their tails forward quite dramatically. You could even push that further by adding more armor to the tail to emphasize it being used defensively.
Overall, I think this is an extremely strong start, and I really love the direction it’s heading in. Hope this critique and feedback help!
