Hi there, I was passing by and saw your work. Your forms are quite nice and I was thinking that if growth feels like a long journey and a struggle, you should try and make it more playful. For a while, I set some exercice routine where I would do 30 seconds to 3 minutes academic poses everymorning. At some point I got furstrating and I didn't had the taste to do one more. I realise that day that if doing what I was doing was so frustrating because the "idea" of progress was in the back of my mind, it wouldn't get long before I quit this routine and all the good it can bring me. So what I decided instead is to draw characters I'd love to master drawing. (for instance I'm drawing a lot of samuraï, it's my current obsession) If it's not characters, it's fine, it can be, environments, animals, you name it! As long as it gives you joy and satisfaction it's all good, because you will be more delight to draw and play with more complexe concept when you'll get familiar with the basic ones. And if the basics doesn't excite you, than try and play some game with them. You can try and creat all sort of things with just cubes, cylinders and Spheres (I'll post an example on the feedback for you) I think as artist we mostly approach the medium with the idea that we want to reach a very professional level before anything and most of the time, we forget that it start with liking what we do and simply enjoying drawing what interest us. Don't push too hard on yourself, work a bit every day (you don't necessary need to do 2h in one row) and I garantee you, you will see changes the long run. Give yourself time to grow before looking back at your old work. (4 to 6 months seems a good idea) Hope it helps, I which you the best and don't hesitate to reach if you have any questions. | Artwod Feedback
