Hey! Great work so far! It's good that you're starting to get familiar with gesture drawing; however, I'd recommend studying perspective and form manipulation. These are two very important fundamentals when it comes to drawing the human figure. They will give you roughly 70% of what you need, as the rest is largely a matter of learning muscles (which, in a way, is also form manipulation). By form manipulation, I mean learning how to draw simple forms such as cylinders, boxes, and spheres, and being able to manipulate them—for example, drawing a box that is bending, twisting, or rotating in space. Also, learn to see the human figure as a collection of simple forms like boxes and cylinders. This will help tremendously with perspective. Notice how I used simple forms to correct two of your figures here. In the first one, I emphasized the twist of the torso by first visualizing how a box would rotate in space and then expressing that movement in the pose through overlapping forms. It also helps establish the direction of the limbs and reinforce the perspective. I hope this doesn't sound repetitive, but these fundamentals are incredibly important to master. Hope this helps! | Artwod Feedback
