Very colorful The issue here is that the piece feels flat because there isn’t a clearly established lighting setup, so almost everything shares a very similar value range. A good starting point is to establish a neutral 3/4 lighting direction. From there, you can apply the “egg” concept, which basically means keeping the upper or more exposed areas illuminated while the lower areas remain in shadow. This helps avoid lighting the entire character evenly. Adding proper light and shadow will also help you gain better control over the saturation throughout the scene. On another note, I’d recommend adding that glow or magical energy effect to at least one more sword on the left side. Right now, the sword on the right draws much more attention because it’s the only one with that effect. Adding glow to some of the other swords would help balance the composition better.
