Hi, I love the colours in the waves and the ship looks great. I'm still learning about this, but I came across something that might help. The website muddycolors has a post called Composition basics: value structure. Folowing that, in your composition you want to have a light, dark and medium. So you can seperate your focal point from the background and foreground. You already have a foreground (waves) and focal point (ship). They are both quite dark, but since the ship is black it is the darkest. But following that theory of composition (you don't have to of course), the background would be best left light. Since it is stormy, I thought of lighting up the sky with lightning. You may like to look at classical paintings of seascapes as well. Hope this helps! Keep drawing <3 | Artwod Feedback
