Hey there! Nice work so far. I can definitely see that the feedback Um9s gave you earlier helped improve the composition! Here are a few things that I hope will help push the environment even further. First of all, you need more atmospheric perspective. The scene feels a bit flat because there isn't a clear separation between the background, midground, and foreground planes. A simple way to fix this is by lighting the buildings, especially the ones farther away. This will help create a stronger sense of depth. I would also separate the background building a bit more from the midground structure and make it slightly smaller. Keep in mind that shadows on objects farther away from the viewer won't necessarily retain the same color as the local material. Instead, they'll be influenced more by the ambient light—in this case, the sky. That's why I introduced some bluish tones into the shadows that are exposed to the open sky. I also increased the brightness inside the structure, which I feel reinforces the focal point and makes the lighting read more clearly. I made the smoke plume darker as well. Volcanic smoke is typically much darker than the surrounding atmosphere, and even at night, it tends to remain highly visible. One idea that came to mind while writing this: if these towers are connected to a volcanic environment, would it make more sense for the base of the structures to consist primarily of volcanic rock rather than grassy terrain? You could even introduce small streams of lava between the rocks or additional smoke effects. That would strengthen the narrative and make the setting feel more cohesive. I also made the characters smaller and positioned them fully within the canvas. Try not to crop your characters, especially when they're important storytelling elements within the illustration. To help them stand out, I painted a light shape on the ground and added a bit of illumination to their silhouettes. I also placed a rock formation that helps frame them and further reinforces the focal point. Hope this helps!
