Hello, Nice painting, I like it! =) Here are a few suggestions: Check the light source. From which direction is the light coming? Try to define a clear direction. You can look at the cubes I added as an explanation. I painted a small example for you. I used extra dark shadows on purpose, so you can clearly see the differences. Try to study the differences between materials and how they react to light. Pick a reference and try to paint it with a simple lasso tool, or only with a hard brush.
