Hello there! This doesn’t feel “too much” in terms of color. The complementary color palette looks great! However, the issue isn’t the amount of color, but how it’s organized hierarchically. Everything is competing, both in value and saturation. This breaks the stained glass effect because in real stained glass, there are areas that “glow” (brighter / warmer) and areas that rest (darker / cooler). So, what you can do first is darken the cool colors in the background, the blues and cyans. This will help the warm colors and the character stand out more. On top of that, you could reduce the background values by around 40–50%. This will give you stronger contrast and make the character pop much better :D Another point is that the warm background values are slightly competing with the character. You could add a bit of shading behind the character so the values don’t match too closely, especially between the skin tones and the background. Lastly, I would remove the reds in the background and keep the red more saturated in the chest area so it creates stronger contrast. This will also give you a better Big, Medium, Small color organization. Hope this helps! It’s looking amazing so far :D | Artwod Feedback
