manga head rotation fail + context

(My artwork is not the rendered work below! Those are just to give an idea of what I'm trying to achieve) Anyways I can't rotate the 'gamma' head as indicated. What I want is to rotate the head in any angle, without references (from imagination), properly (especially if it's that frieren angle). Need I specify more? If not, how can I achieve proper orientation? note: The artwork shown that is not owned by me was not used as references. I drew everything from imagination. Also, I rarely use ctrl z or an eraser to simulate traditional pen drawing, for some reason.

I have an artstyle that generally uses lineart for things that should be in focus. But I feel like I either can't render if I use lineart because it ends up looking weird or I just don't know how to. Does rendering work with lineart?

rock material practice
