Yo! The best thing I can recommend for learning how to draw the human figure is to focus on the fundamentals of drawing. And by that, I mean two key ones (at least in my opinion): perspective and form manipulation. The reason figures often look flat is precisely due to a lack of understanding of perspective, being able to draw a 3D object on a 2D surface. Start by learning how to draw very simple forms like boxes and cylinders, and then learn how to manipulate them. That’s key :) So learning the human figure isn’t really about memorizing muscles, that’s maybe 20% of it. It’s much more about form manipulation, which could account for around 60%, so to speak. If you have the chance, I’d recommend checking out Artwod. You can follow the Intro to Drawing roadmap, and once you complete it, move on to Intro to Figure. Those two will give you a really solid foundation. You can also look into Proko, his YouTube content is great, but it’s more useful once you’ve built some of the fundamentals I mentioned. This is a long journey; there are no shortcuts. Hope some of this helps!
