Also, consider the direction of the light—without a clear light direction, it’s very difficult to achieve effective shading. There are several tools you can use to improve your shading. One of them is the Asaro Head, which is simplified and helps you better understand the planes of the head, making it easier to shade more effectively. Another helpful approach is to use references. Always try to rely on references when you’re unsure about something, whether from the internet or by taking your own photos. Also, I’d suggest adding a bit more skin tone variation, since the face feels a bit too pale (unless that’s your intention, and even then, some subtle pink or reddish tones can help).
