What can I improve?

Hello everyone, this is the first time I ever post here at Artwod, I have been following for a while and decided to partecipate.
I took a very very old drawing I had on DeviantArt (2010) of a creature I created for an old personal project.
The old work is..a mess if I look at it now, but for the time, I was proud. Sadly, it lacks proper light, proportions, and most of the basics, I think.
The new version is a complete makeover.
I'm satisfied with the pose and silhouette, even without any lines. I believe it works, but I like the feeling of the black lines. I still struggle deeply with form and values.
Colours, I believe, turned out actually interesting for once.
