What can I improve?

Memories of my thieving cat, a few months ago

Hello, this is the first time I’ve used colour; up until now, I’ve always reproduced images in a very realistic style using black-and-white pencil. As a result, there are lots of things I’d like to improve, so I’d be very grateful to receive feedback on any aspect. I’m finding textures particularly difficult, and especially creating a sense of harmony. Here, the grass is very detailed, as is the sausage, but the rest is much less so the whole thing seems inconsistent to me. I don’t know how to make the foreground look sharper and more defined, then blurrier in the background, without it looking like a harsh transition. The perspective also seems a bit odd to me; I’m not entirely sure what I’ve done… As for the cat’s anatomy, I tried using references, but again, I’m not convinced (especially regarding the position of the tail—I’ve tried different things but it always looks a bit odd).
