What can I improve?

I spent days rendering this piece. It's performing worse than the non rendered version, and even random MS Paint doodles I posted. I consider this my best work so far. I only received positive reactions, I'd like honest critique to help me improve. I'm new to digital art, and this is the first time I managed to create something on this level.
