Hey! You did it great! :D If you're going to stick to using 2 values only, don't hesitate to draw a bit of the contour of the object to give more information about the shape; otherwise, it would be hard to separate the object from the the BG since both are white. If you want to add a third value, analyze your reference first and see where there's more information, either in the light or in the dark. If the light in the picture is too overexposed, then add the third value in the shadows and vice versa; if the shadows are too dark, then add the third value on the light side. The goal of the third value is to help you control either the lights or the darks. Look for Jourdan Tuffan on youtube, he has a video about understand painting with three values.
