Great job! I like the design! :D It’s just that if the light is coming from the side rather than from a three-quarter angle, the front of the character would be in shadow because the light isn’t hitting it directly. So, having that area rendered in darker tones would look good! Avoid using almost black colours; instead, use purple or bluish tones. Personally, I like to use purple colours for the darkest shadows, which contrasts with the brown and adds more dynamism at the same time. You can enhance the character’s silhouette by adding a blue rim light, Hope this helps!

I really like warriors and barbarians, as I find their designs more courageous. I think your design is truly classic and has all those realistic details that enhance its appeal in the classic medieval era. The large white fur and the red half-orc work very well as contrasting textures and tones, since the red gives a darker skin tone that I love. My suggestion would be to review how you structure your design. I'm sharing these steps I took to give you a better guide on how to simplify things before painting your final design: 1- I create body proportions that are closer to what a basic warrior and orc look like. 2- I draw faces because I see it as an actor casting process where I look for personality and someone who catches my eye. 3- I create legible pose bases for my silhouettes that help me edit the design without getting bogged down in details. 4- I make a final sketch with texture details. Then I bring them all closer to my final pose, leaving only the base to demonstrate that your bases make a design more fun to develop and decorate with all the details you need in the end...
