You'd need to paint more desaturated colours to balance the saturated ones, and vice versa, if you have a desaturated light colour, paint a saturated (not too saturated) colour. For example, the greenish light colour has a less saturated green (and darker, of course).

Late post, fell asleep after got back from vacation. I drew these three from references to sharpen my visual library. Probably as much as i needed before hopping into drawing from imagination. To me, there's a lot room for improvements, because these drawing still not great. If you have any advices, truly i'd be grateful to hear it. Ignore the top left, its from yesterday :)
