I always struggle when it comes to adding a background and imagining what I’m going to draw in a cohesive narrative. Most of the time, the idea changes just because I overthink whether the narrative will be successfully delivered or not. Like this piece — I actually just wanted to draw a woman. But then the idea of adding a wolf came in, along with the narrative of “female strength.” Most of my works start intuitively, so the narrative idea usually appears halfway through the process.
