Your rendering for hair is fine but you can always add more strands and think more about how light affects hair. Also, take note on the cast shadows that hair can have on the face. You don't have to change the background but you'll have to incorporate it into the piece because of how bright and saturated it is. I used the background as a backlighting and added a second light that shines from left top down. The rest is just 3D form + light.

I don’t know how I would render the hair and how would I make the drawing seem more finished? Should I also change the background?
