I did a quick paintover for you, but please feel free to take or leave any of these changes! My main goal was just to explore how you might push the underlying gesture and the readability of your design a bit further. Pushing the Archetype & Gesture: Just as a quick disclaimer on the anatomy changes, when I look at this character, I feel like it fits perfectly into a highly agile, nimble archetype. For example, think of the designs in Avatar—they are tall, slender, and built for fluid movement. I wanted to draw inspiration from that, lean into it, and exaggerate those sleek proportions even more. In the original, the crouch feels a little compressed. By stretching out the body and elongating the limbs, we push the line of action and make the pose feel much more dynamic and natural to this type of creature. Costume Readability: You have a lot of really cool costume elements, but sometimes stacking too many small details (like the individual straps, plates, and pouches) can accidentally clutter the silhouette. Instead of maximizing detail everywhere, I tried grouping the clothing into larger, cleaner shapes to create a sense of organic minimalism. It isn't about removing your cool ideas, it's about making sure the viewer isn't overwhelmed so they can actually easily read, understand, and appreciate the specific design choices you've made! You have a really awesome foundation here with a very cool character. Thank you. There was actually a conflict when I was first drawing her. I had to choose between making her look strong, which is a trait of the race, and making her agile, which is also a trait of the race. The two really didn't go together, at least not in my head. Which is why I went for a chimp design. But I think making the limbs longer will aid in making the design work. She will have the racial strength as well as the agility. Thank you. And yes , after looking at it, there is too much clutter. Your design fixes that well, though I would have kept the arm balloon and the glowing balls...those r important. Again, thanks.
