Nice couple, I wasn't sure the context so don't judge me on that I figured they might be flight attendant, but I'm pretty sure their not. However ! I feel what is missing in here isn't a lack of anatomy. Your characters are nicely drawn and their proportions are correct. I think what is lacking in here is more shapes and form in order to bring more depth in your drawing. Anatomy is a topic on it's own and is in fact related to character drawing, but you can still create excellent characters based on shapes and form alone . Having characters that fit into a space and make them work based on the perspective is more important in my opinion. Sure you will lack some of the knowledge on how the body work at first, but I think solidifying your figure drawing based on shape and form is a must have before jumping into anatomy. That said, I brought 3/4 into your characters faces, I think this is where you were missing some extra bit. I also rework the volumes of the arms of the sitting figure as well as her legs that are more frontal now. (foreshortening) I tried and keep the cubic design for the head as much as I could. For the man stading up, I lowered his pelvis by reajusting his tail and belt. I added background info. like his arm and leg (into the shadow, a little trick I'm using in storyboarding ) to give more depth to the whole picture and believability. I think your characters are very cool and I hope to see the evolution. Feel free to reach if you have any questions. I finally added a seat under the first character to help give more info on the perspective and situation of the character in your drawing. | Artwod Feedback
