Hey there! I could have pushed the proportions further to make the portrait more closely match the reference, but I get the impression that you're intentionally aiming for a more stylized look. Because of that, I didn't make many proportional changes. The main thing I adjusted was the shape of the neck. Right now, there's a point on the side of the neck that reads almost like the thyroid cartilage (Adam's apple), which is located closer to the center of the neck rather than along the side. Because of that, the contour of the neck should be a bit straighter. As for developing a stylized painting approach, I'd recommend studying artists who work in a style similar to the one you're aiming for and applying what you learn to your own pieces. Many stylized painters make extensive use of the Lasso Tool to create strong, graphic edges between planes, for example, the transition between the side plane of the nose and the cheek plane. You can see this approach used quite often in the character work from Arcane.
