Hey there! I LOVE your illustration, it’s absolutely fantastic I can suggest one thing only - the 2 people trying to surpass the troll are a bit lost rn. I think it’s because there are many medium and small sized shapes surrounding them AND going up higher on the mountain. I suggest to place many small shapes around the couple while keeping other areas filled with bigger shapes, so that the closer we are to the couple, the smaller the shapes become, creating higher visual interest and bringing viewers attention there. I also increased the value contrast in that place a bit, surrounding them with bright white snow. I hope this helps and I can’t wait to see the final piece!!

I would like some fresh eyes on this one! I'm struggling to see if the composition actually works. I also feel like the proportions of the troll/demon creature look off. Any other feedback to make this piece look more interesting as well is much appreciated!

I'm a total newbie so take this with a grain of salt, but while I really love the troll's overall pose, the lean of the body against the weight as it drags that big lump of wood on a chain, it feels like the tail is just... kind of there? Taking up a lot of real estate in the picture but not really helping the pose. Maybe something could be done with it, like using it to counterbalance the weight of the anchor? Great work overall though, I hope to be on your level one day!

Hi, great piece of art, I like the execution, here are some notes and the overpaint: 1. for story I would move and direct the characters to face the troll, they can protect a shrine, the girl is wielding fire. 2. Troll is about to attack, the chain is still loose, but the gesture suggest he is going to throw, that is why I turned his arm and hand, also extented his far arm more. On a side note if you're having problems with the pose you can ask your friend to help you and pose him, take some photos to have an reference, or you can pose yourself in the mirror, to check if what you imagined is actually possible. 3. I have made some changes to tail form 4. Removed the decorations on the rock, since they are not in the human scale 5. Added a beam of yellow liight, to emphesize importance of human characters. Overall there is a lot of potential in this drawing, hope that my notes will help you with move foreward, keep up the good work!
