I really like you're doing full illustrations with backgrounds! The pose that you chose is interesting and a difficult one. It does feel a bit aimless, however. To get rid of the awkwardness of a strange pose and make it look intentional is to change how we're looking at it. This means establishing some perspective and changing the camera angle. Most of the awkwardness comes from the fact we're looking straight at the character with a horizon line directly in the center of the composition. Try playing with the height of the horizon line and the distance between your vanishing points! In sketch A, I tried to make just minor changes like turning the camera to the side slightly to make it a little more dynamic. In sketch B, I drastically changed it and put the horizon line very low on the page and the vanishing points very close together to give it a distorted look. It's not perfect and I'm sure you can do a better job if you try it, but I hope this gets the idea across. | Artwod Feedback
