Hi, to bring volume to your painting you need to think about frrms, like cylinders, and try to indentify where such forms might exist , since snow accumulates and moves. To have volume use gradients or in breader terms hue shifts, where you stay in value range, but change color and saturation. Overall in your painting there is a bit to strong contrast betweenn light and shadow, the setting that you are referencing is golden hour, where sun is much lower in intensity. If you clip the value range more to a mid values in light and add more local values in darker snow shadows you will be able to build volume for the snow. Keep up the good work!
I understand! I had seen hue shifting within shadows but didnt think it will work in a snow setting as well but I will try it out thank you!
