maybe try one light line across for the eye level and a second under it for the bottom lid, then drop both eyes onto those. one eye width of gap between them helps too. eyeing them one at a time is what made mine drift for ages

easy way to draw anime eyes? mine still look off I’m trying to sketch anime eyes and they never really look even. one is always a little bigger or sitting weird. I mostly use pencil. I think my proportions and construction need work, would appreciate some feedback on what to fix

If you want to draw eyes, it's best to not draw the entire eye straight away and then try to copy the other. Start by plotting out the actual position and size of the eyes first. A good rule of thumb is that the spacing between eyes should roughly be the width of an eye. To achieve symmetry, start with simple shapes that you draw very lightly on paper. It's much easer to draw two same sized rectangles, and then cut them slowly into the shape of the eye that you want. You'll achieve best results if you do this step by step on both sides at once. So draw the reference shapes first for both, then cut them down on both sides, then slowly add the details only after the construction for the eyes is solid. Hope that helps.

the rectangles help, though idk if size is the main thing here. the upper lid line on the right one sits a bit lower, so maybe pencil one light line across both lids first and keep both eyes touching it. evens them out before any detail goes in
