Hey! Mark has already given you some great feedback. :) I'd just like to add a little more. When you're projecting the cast shadow of an object, you always need to keep the direction of the light source in mind. In the case of spheres, the terminator needs to match the direction of the light. In your example, the curve of the terminator bends downward, which suggests that the light is coming from above. However, the cast shadow suggests that the light is coming from the back. If the light were coming from behind, the terminator would have a different orientation, making both elements consistent with one another. When drawing cast shadows on spheres, try extending lines from the light source towards the points of the terminator. This will help you determine the shape and placement of the cast shadow on the ground. On another note, you need to define the terminator and core shadow a bit more to give the sphere a stronger sense of volume, as the shadow area doesn't have much value variation at the moment. Notice that in my correction, the terminator and core shadow are darker, while the lower portion of the sphere is lighter because of the bounced light reaching that area.
