Great character there. I love the expression and the colors you’ve chosen. A few construction mistakes, particularly with the chin. Remember that when the mouth is open the chin moves further down. So I adjusted her jawline a bit. I also feel that we should see her right shoulder, so I added that as well. For the rendering I think you just went a little too subtle with the shadow colors. To give your drawing more depth you need a certain amount of contrast between the lights and the darks. I darkened the shadow color and also increased the saturation and moved the hue closer to the red. I also added a shadow under her nose and mouth. The same applies to her hair, though I think you need to focus a bit more on the form of the hair. I darkened the shadow color and shifted the position of some of the shadows. For the highlights I did the opposite, made the base color brighter, less saturated and moved the hue further away from the red. Other things to note, it wasn’t until I started writing this that I noticed the cigarette smoke. It took awhile to notice it was there because it’s too close to the color of her hair. I think it needs to be bolder and less subtle. That’s really the main point here with your rendering. Don’t hold yourself back. Be bold and try to push it.
