Hey! It looks like you already have a solid foundation, but I think what you need now is to define your forms more clearly and focus on improving your proportions. In both mannequins, the arms are a bit too long. As for construction, the usual recommendation is to simplify the figure into basic forms like boxes and cylinders. That's the standard approach and a great place to start. That said, I don't think that method works equally well for everyone. At some point, you'll want to find a construction method that feels natural to you—in other words, develop your own mannequin. Personally, I like to start my mannequins with more gestural shapes instead of drawing rigid boxes right away. It's almost like I'm sketching flat, flowing shapes first and then building volume on top of them. I'd recommend studying different artists and copying the way they simplify the human figure.
