Hello, Marshrom! This reminds me of Zelda. :) The main thing I'd recommend is pushing the contrast between light and shadow much further. Let the lava, the main light source, contain the brightest values in the scene, and group everything else into darker values. You can also keep the shadows on the cooler side to create a stronger warm-versus-cool color contrast. Remember that lighting helps to guide the viewer's eye. Increasing that contrast will naturally draw attention to the character's silhouette. To make the character stand out even more, add a rim light along the sides of the silhouette where it's exposed to the lava. That will separate the character from the background and make the focal point much clearer. Hope this helps! :) | Artwod Feedback
