Hi Hi! It can be challenging but not impossible to find free digital tools. There is a well-optimized one that is used by many artists. It is known as Krita. It mimics Adobe Photoshop's features and offers painters a lot more options (greater mixing options, more traditional painting vibe). Other than Krita, there is Ibs paint, Sketchbook and Fire Alpaca. You can test them out and see what suits you the best. Apart from that, I modified your artwork to make it easier to understand. Before entering into scenes, start with simple steps. It is good that you chose fanart for your practice because it helps you practice the basics and does not require you to worry about design too much. It serves as a great, low-pressure exercise to hone skills. Next to your art,I added a mannequin from which you can start your figure learning. You can also look up Artwod videos that talk about that topic for better clarity. Hope it helps!
