Hey! I’ll focus for now only on composition :) Later, I could make an example for values or lighting. But anyway, first of all, define your horizon line. It seems like the horizon is placed too high, slightly above the trees. From that point on, the scene starts to feel incoherent because we shouldn’t be seeing the top of the tower. What I did was move it a bit lower (not in the middle of the canvas, avoid doing this), which allows me to have more sky to draw clouds or other elements in that space, and on the other hand, it helps give more importance to the tower :) Now, think about the scale of things. There isn’t much consistency: you’re drawing the tower with very large stairs. It would feel more realistic if you made the stairs much smaller and also added some small windows in the tower; this helps sell the scale without needing human figures. Now, notice how the overlapping of forms, like the ground with the trees in the background, helps give depth to the scene, as well as making the path feel narrower as it moves away from the tower, and wider when it is closer to the camera. Adding elements in the foreground will also help give a bit more depth :) Hope this helps! | Artwod Feedback
