¿Qué puedo mejorar?

The foundation of this drawing was so messy that I wound up redrawing it several times, desperately repainting it time and time again in hopes that it'll finally look somewhat right. I've tried to stick to a chibi painterly style, the left one being my last attempt (yet to be polished, though, you can see the cuts). As you can see I've tried reducing the excessive detailing while maintaining the essence of it, but the anatomy and forms look completely off. I don't want it to look realistic, really. However, I want it to make sense and the perspective, coloring, rendering, painting, values... just don't seem to be working altogether. As I wish to create sellable designs to print out in the future, I'd be keen to receive insightful critique, particularly in regard to what it is that I must change around in order to obtain a satisfying result.
