Hi hi!
The character and stylization looks nice! You have a good base character to push design forward.
Characters should have characteristics that viewers are somewhat accustomed to. That way it is easier for them to engage with artwork. References are on the way! We expanded our visual collection with them in addition to using them for practice. When creating a character, consider their personality. In what location do they live? What era are their outfits from? What is their background? What part do they play? Even with haphazard concepts, we frequently write spontaneous short stories to give the characters some individuality; this is a very human trait. When responding to these inquiries, we gather references from Pinterest, social media, and Google searches (or anything you find inspiring at the time). In order to break up the silhouette and make it more interesting to watch, I extend the current features (and add new ones) in this Victorian-inspired scene. Before settling on a single design, you can make multiple sketches. Consider their material at the coloring stage: what is more matte and what is shiny? What will be my main point of interest to the audience? Along with clothing, play with face expressions, its very important to show emotional impact on viewer!
Hope it helps! Have fun experimenting! | Artwod Feedback
Hey!
What a great design! I really like the character’s stylization
This character has strong potential for a vampire-inspired concept. To push that idea further, there are a few visual elements you could adjust.
For example:
Pointed ears
A more mischievous or sinister smile
Glowing eyes
You could also enhance the storytelling by adjusting the pose or adding thematic props, such as a glass of blood or a more dramatic gesture that reinforces the vampire aesthetic.
I also incorporated some ideas from Sara’s earlier feedback, since I really liked her costume suggestions and feel they complement the vampire theme very well.
Hope this helps!
