Hi Hi! Animals are always a fun topic to tackle. So far looks good I would add the background first for any composition you want. That will be very helpful in figuring out the source of light and how it reflects off of living beings. The next problem is that it affects colors and shadows. According to what I have read, light emanates from the top, therefore everything that faces it will be illuminated while the remainder will remain in the shadows. We presume that the creature is standing in the open, in the mountains, so you do not have to deal harshly with shadows.Pay close attention to how you position your shadows by using references to accurately match body forms. For colors avoid using black/ gray for rendering and remain because it will result with muddy results. Lean on brighter colors but not overly saturated when approaching coloring. Lightly place color variations in fur to make artwork richer. Hope it helps!
