What can I improve?
Merman
Thank you for the feedback. I have updated the merman piece to have a more dramatic visual affect to set the scene more align with the characters emotions/ experience.
I made the character look more freaked out by adding lines on the face to signify this. Added a more darker intense effect around the character almost suffocating them to express the anxious feeling as they turned into a merman by looking at the tail. I put highlights in the hair to suggest the reflection of light from above. Some shadows around the body and especially the face to make the merman's eyes pop out more as their species have glowing eyes. Finally, I made a caustics effect on the body to imply that the character is underwater.
I hope the piece really captures the emotions that I was going for. If there is anything else that can be improved let me know.
